Meet the City Manager
Jason F. McHugh was appointed Wildwood City Manager on July 10, 2017, after serving three and a half years as the city’s Assistant City Manager. He has been working for the city, either as a consultant or an employee, since July 2005.
Jason grew up in central Massachusetts with a passion for urban planning and public service. A graduate of Westfield State College in May 2003 with his Bachelor of Science in Regional Planning, he relocated to central Florida to pursue his career. He later received a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Central Florida in May 2013.
Jason is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP #026647) and became a Certified Public Manager (CPM) through the Florida Center for Public Management at Florida State University in August 2018.
Jason has worked first-hand at crafting public policy that has facilitated growth in an orderly manner without degrading existing neighborhoods and businesses, engaged the citizenry in community planning issues, and provided the highest quality and most responsive professional services to the Wildwood community.
