Wastewater
The City of Wildwood Wastewater Department’s goal is “to protect the health of the public and the environment by providing high quality collection and treatment services in an effective, efficient and responsible manner that meets all Federal and Florida State Regulations.”
Maintaining the safety of the citizens and the environment is a very important part of our job in the wastewater department. Our goal is to ensure that our collection and treatment facilities meet all Federal and State of Florida regulations. Our facility is currently permitted through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to treat up to 3.55 million gallons per day of raw sewerage.
The Wastewater Department is comprised of two primary components: Collections and Treatment. Included in these two primary components are the industrial wastewater program, and our reclaimed water system.
