Utility Bill Adjustment Request

Any customer of City utilities may, having experienced a qualifying event, request an adjustment be made upon a utility bill. A “qualifying event” is defined as either:

(a) A water leak that resulted in above-average water consumption.
(b) Installation of new swimming pool, or re-fill of existing swimming pool.

If customer qualifies, adjustment will be made on sewer charges above average monthly usage, once confirmed by monthly meter reading that high usage is not continuing.

Any adjustment(s) are made as a courtesy, and may be declined for any reason by department staff.

Please pay your current utility bill in full to avoid termination of utility services.

The following rules and restrictions apply:

  • Customer must be connected to City wastewater system and billed sewer charges.
  • High irrigation usage or irrigation system leakage does NOT qualify for adjustment.
  • One adjustment is permitted within a 12 month period.
  • Evidence/documentation of leak repair or swimming pool installation/fill.

By submitting this request, the customer is certifying that the included information is correct to the best of their knowledge and includes no intentional falsehoods. Further, the customer acknowledges that department staff may reject this request for any reason, including, but not limited to, lack of supporting documentation or incomplete information, or if it is determined that the qualifying event did not generate excess billable water usage.
